Dating makes one to have a realistic know how or idea of the kind of person they are planning to attach themselves to. Through dating, one gets to know whether they fits in one life.

It could also mean that it's a risk we take to giving out out hearts to considering whether the other person suits us. Therefore, it's very important to date before getting married. This reduces the shock in marriage. 

Indubitably, if one fails to date, there are high chances of having challenges in marriage. That's when they have an in-depth know of the person which should be done in dating.

It's thus important yo date because of the following reasons:-

1.Dating is a time to ponder and consider marriage.

The aim of dating is to be a trajectory towards marriage. Marriage is authored by God and even dating should be of Godly standards.

This help you to have a complete understanding of the person. It facilitate you to begin well and progress well. Some relationships begin well but in due time, hell break loose. You regret why you got into it.

Marriage is a matter of life long, till death do you apart. While making this decision you need to very sober and be very conscious for it's a long term decision.

2. Dating is a time to marry yourself.

For instance, a person in a sanguine temperament may realize to have anger. How does he or she manage the anger?

Therefore, one need to take time to improve. We are all unfinished work and thus we need to work towards improvement each and every day.

By adjusting your weak traits, helps you to be real in the relationship. Those with unpleasant traits may keep hiding the traits to save the relationship out of fear. You can never hide for long, your traits will manifest.

3. It's a time to cement an existing friendship.

Dating is important as it help you to keep grow in love. This is through strengthening the already existing relationship.

Someone once said that, the person you will get to marry or get married to is in your contact list. Don't go looking for them far from you.

It's surely a time to narrow to one friend. Hopefully to grow in love with them


4. It's a time to get into a thriving relationship.

A thriving relationship is one where partners are open, sincere, honest, have respect and great caring for one another.



The relationship is working out for them and they progressively grow in love.

The partners develop unity and no domination by either one of them.

Dating then, is a time to get these virtues and learning to handle your partner with great love.

5.Time to appreciate individual differences 

How well do you know the person you are to date? 

Each and every person is unique in his own way.

When getting to dating you need to have open mind to learning you partner and how he or she deal with their issues.

For instance, you need to know whether he or she saves finances or are they debtor? Do they need all time with you or do you have some time left, for your friends?

Learn to appreciate what you partner does best and also pointing out their weaknesses. Don't overlook on this for it's very essential.

You also need to have a huge heart to accommodate their weaknesses. Help them also to work out.


Dating therefore, is a very essential stage where you develop an in-depth know of the person. 


If you love a flower, don't pick it up because if you pick it up it does and cease to be with you. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation ~Rajneesh.
